Spanish tradition and luxury hunting. “Spain offers a wide range of unforgettable hunts, from roaring red deer, to challenging Ibex stalks.” Fernando Saiz Established in 1975 Fernando Saiz - Spain is one of the oldest professional hunting organizations in Spain having organized in 1975. Our team of four professional hunters has over 150 years of hunting experience both in Spain and around the world. Our motto is ‘Spanish Tradition and Hunting Excellence To us this means we strive to maintain the true spirit of hunting while exercising professionalism by being in the best areas, having the best permits, and providing the best guides. What makes European big game hunting so magnificent? Is it centuries of tradition and history? Or that custom and ritual are still as important as the hunt? Travel two hours south of Madrid to “Fernando Saiz – Spain” and you’ll find out. Join Fernando Saiz at his venerable family compound (where striking Spanish architecture abounds throughout a property that is beautifully furnished and perfectly decorated to reflect the history of such a special place) and experience some of the most varied hunting you’ll find anywhere in Europe. Fernando Saiz Hunting is one of the oldest outfitting companies in Spain. Years of hard work, dedication, and lots of satisfied hunters are our best endorsement. After working as an architect, Fernando Saiz decided to follow his passion and set up an outfitting company that has managed to stand out as a symbol of excellence in the hunting world. With the help of his wife Koki they have managed to build up a team that will fall in the the family category, and that is the way they will make you feel. And it's not just about the hunting. While at Fernando Saiz - Spain your wife, or both of you can be taken with to different historical cities, in which shopping, sightseeing and typical meals are spectacular. Then there is the bird hunting as well as the big game hunting. It is has been a long time tradition in Spain. The Red Legged Partridge is a fast flying bird that follows the contour of the terrain, giving the hunter a wide variety of shots, making the experience fun and with lots of action. We normally organize groups of 6 to 8 shooters, for a program of three days shooting and four nights. The average bird bag for a day is 500, totaling 1500 birds between the whole line. We normally do four different drives every day, with a “taco” or light snack in between. Each shooter has a loader and a “secretario” which carry all the guns and shells around the field, and help the hunter with the two guns of the same gauge that are recommended, as the birds normally come in flocks and very fast.

The following is article from Tom about his concession in Zambia. Zambia Kafue – In the South-West of Zambia, lies the Kafue national park, a true gem of Zambia. The Kafue National Park covers 9,652 square miles which makes it the second largest National Pak in Africa and the largest in Zambia. Bordering the park on the south-east lies the Nkala GMA a 440 square mile hunting block, an unspoiled piece of African wilderness. Once experienced one immediately realizes that this is what Ruark, Capstick and Roosevelt experienced in their days. The true meaning of wild, unspoiled Africa. The Nkala GMA varies from Miombo woodlands to Woodland savannas and open flood plains to thick woodland forests. The variety and concentration of animals is truly second to none. Big herds of Cape Buffalo, Livingstone Eland, Blue-wildebeest, Lichtenstein’s Hartebeest, Crawshey’s zebra, Defassa Waterbuck, Puku and Elephant are a common sight. Known for its high population of Leopard, Lion, Hippopotamus, and Crocodile the Nkala GMA lives up to its reputation. Accommodations – Luxury safari style tents with hot and cold running water, Wi-Fi, shower and bath, queen size beds. A swimming pool with a view over the Nkala river is always a welcoming sight after a long day’s hunt in the warm Zambian sun. Manicured lawn finishes the lodge area. A true slice of heaven in Africa.
